I love the Toms look! I don't personally have a pair, but my roommate does and she wears them constantly and is always talking about how comfortable they are. My Sperry's are definalty my favorite shoes ever. I can wear them with anything and in any weather. I can't wait to get another pair. As for the TOMS and Rainbows, i dont have either but I like the looks of TOMS and think they look great with any outfit.

I agree that a lot of these shoes are very popular on campus. I love wearing flip flops because they're comfortable and easy to slip on or off. I don't have a pair of TOMs but think they are a good shoe. I really like how their company is run and believe that their public service initiatives separate them from the competition.

I love my Sperry's because they can be dressed up as well as down. I might wear them with jeans, but when i dont feel like putting alot of time into getting ready, i can throw them on with shorts or even sweats, and it looks just fine on campus. What matters most is that they're comfortable! And i love my strappy sandals too with shorts for class or going out.
I have been dying to pull my Sperry's back out for the fall. I think that they are a very popular trend that a lot of people follow. You can wear them with so many different things. A pair of shoes that I do wear often are my gladiator sandals to wear at night instead of heels. I don't own a pair of Tom's but those are very cute and I have been wanting to invest in some.

Toms and sperry's are definitely seen all over campus. I personally have a pair of toms and love them! They are so comfortable and easy as well as trendy. Also I have had rainbow sandals since the 7th grade that I still wear. That comes to show how long lasting they are. Once the weather becomes colder, the shoe trends will shift to uggs, rainboots, and other winter shoe trends.

I bought my Sperry's almost two years ago and they are still in great condition. I think they're so cute but most importantly they are comfortable. I don't have Rainbow Sandals but definitely should splurge and buy myself a pair. They are stylish and like Cara said long lasting. I think they made a great point of hitting on some of the popular trends on UK's campus, but unlike the backpack post i don't think they hit on all the different kind of styles that you see. They didn't point out the trendy sandals other then rainbows, like the sandals that buckle around the ankle or the Adidas that most guy rock. They also didn't mention BOOTS! Boots are huge especially going into the fall season. I wish i could have seen that. But i'm glad that toms were mention because they are a growing trend on campus since last year.
I personally dont own either sperry's or TOM'S but am definitely asking for a pair of TOM'S for christmas. I'll be getting a new pair of shoes and so will another person in need. The blog was very catchy but I think should have included something about rain boots as well since these are very popular around campus.

I think UKs campus will be seeing more and more students wearing Toms, not only are they comfortable, but they allow you to to be artistic and bring a bit of your personal style into the shoe. Another great thing about Toms is the one for one deal, when you buy a pair of Toms a person in Africa receive a pair also, which I think is an awesome thing to do. Toms have been popular with women but the guys are catching on, its not too long before we become a Toms nation!

I hadn't seen the trend in Toms until I came to UK. I transferred this year and they were just starting to be mentioned around Western. After seeing everyone walk around with them I have been wanting to invest in a pair! I love that it also helps out a great cause.
Sperrys have been a big hit the past couple years and they continue to be a top choice among students. I actually wore mine today! You can wear them with a ton of different outfits and like you mentioned, they are very comfortable which is a key factor for college students.
I agree that these shoes are very prevalent on campus this year. Although i have not seen many Tom's because i'm from the north-i'm sure after reading this i will be noticing if people are wearing them a lot more now. But for comfort during the day on campus you can always find me in my rainbows and now that the weather is getting colder, i can't wait to pull out my sperrys!

I have had my sperrys for years and they are my favorite shoes to slip on with shorts or sweats to go to class! I just bought some new white ones too! By next year i will be sure to have some rainbows because their comfortable and adorable! I haven't tried on a pair of Tom's and haven't even seen them until coming to UK but i think they have a unique look that you either hate or love and I really like them!

LOVE THIS BLOG! I couldn't agree more with it either! I have gone through a few pairs of rainbows myself and I would never choose another flip flop over them! I own multiple pairs of sperrys as well and true to the blog they are very comfy and casual or nice and dressy! You can't go wrong with Toms ever! I own a few sperrys and think that they are extremely comfortable and long lasting. As for TOMS they are stylish and actually stand for a good cause by giving a pair of news shoes to a child in need with your purchase. For that reason alone I'm willing to purchase at least one pair of toms this year.

I absolutely love shoes. I think it is my favorite thing to shop for. I just bought a new pair today. Around campus I notice a lot of Sperrys, flip-flops, and tennis shoes. There are so many different ways I see shoes paired with outfits. I think around campus comfort is the most important factor as to what shoes you wear that day. For me its about what isn't going to make me regret walking to class.
It is true that comfort is what most people opt for because we are getting up and walking out of the door for the most part. But I agree that I'd like to see more uniqueness among the students at campus, because I don't wear any of these except for Tom's.

I think uGGs will be here for girls for a while during the colder months. Although they make them for both boys and girls they haven't seem to catch on as a unisex trend like sperrys. I think the duck shoes that Sperry is putting out will become popular around rainy days. I have a pair and I love them. Although now that the seasons are changing, we will start to see more rain boats and uggs. This blog is correct when it states most students at UK will wear whatever is most comfortable because of long walking distances. I wear Sperry's and flip flops, but most often I wear Nike tennis shoes because they are the most convenient and comfortable for walking around campus.

I have never seen so many sperry's in my life. I'm from New Jersey and they are not very popular. It was a shock to see how many people are wearing them. I do think they are very cute and must be comfortable at the same time but I'm a much bigger fan of Tom's. Tom's are so easy to just slip on and when you buy them another pair is donated, such a great deal!!!

Although Sperry's are an undoubtable fad, I love them! They are so multi-dimentional- good for walking and they provide an appearance upgrade instead of wearing gym shoes! I absolutely agree with this post. I was wearing sperry's today and saw a few other girls sitting close to me in class that were wearing tom's or sperry's. Most guys like to wear Sperry's and other slip on shoes when walking to class at UK. Me, I prefer to wear basketball shoes n tennis shoes, because they are the more comfort to me. I don't mind wearing flip flops either, preferably Nike, because I like to have Nike on my feet.
