The company Rent the Runway is based in New York City and has expanded throughout the United States through campus representatives at multiple universities, such as here at UK. They offer affordable rentals for both men and women and are accommodating to all sizes. They are also big on customer service because when a person places an order they send you another size for free. If the customer is not satisfied with their order, they can send the clothing item back right away for a replacement. Rent the Runway is always offering great discounts through e-mail and Facebook. UK even has its own Rent the Runway fan page where special discounts are offered to only UK students.

I think this is a great idea created by the company that owns rent the runway! College students don't want to pay that much on clothing and this allows them to find cute affordable outfits for any event needed. Most girls only wear certain outfits once anyways, so this is a perfect idea. I am definitely going to check out the website!
I think rent the runway is a very creative idea. I have been to many weddings this year and I have had to purchase dress after dress and spend tons of money for something I will probably wear once. This is a great altternative to save money and look great!

I have never heard of this and i think it is an awsome idea!! There are so many times that i need a dress or formal outfit but dont want to spend the money to buy a new one, knowing you probably wont wear it again! i am definitly going to have to check this out!!

I definitely see some familiar faces here! The girls look stunning of course. I love the idea of rent-the-runway since the newest trends in retail have been rentals such as our text books for class. I dont know why this hasnt been done more often since guys can go rent a tux no problem. I think the hardest part would be sending the dress back when i was done wearing it.. But i always find that i dont want to wear my most expensive pieces very often because they are so special.
This is such a great idea! I took a look at the page and found tons of dresses I would love to wear that I could get for a great deal. After all when you buy a dress for a special occasion it is not uncommon to only wear it once. This website keeps you instyle and saves you money and a trip to the crowded mall!

I am a big fan of rent the runway. I wish I would have heard of this website sooner because I would have loved to spend $50 to $100 dollars on my prom dress instead of the $400 I spent. An upcoming event I have to attend is a ball and I will definitely be looking on their website for my attire.
Rent the Runways is a wonderful idea for people of all ages. There are always special occasions when you need a nice outfit, but you'll only wear it once. I know that if i knew about this sooner, I would have used it for high school dances or proms. But also weddings, and big charity events will be a big reason people use this site. Great idea, and good prices!
rent the runway is so cool! one of my good friends got 2 dresses for an event and they mailed her 2 sizes of each just in case one didn't fit. it's an awesome idea for a fancy event that you don't want to splurge on a dress for! and you can get a discount just by typing in wildcats when you check out!

Rent the runway is a very good idea. This is a great way to get a dress for a special event. It's also a great deal, you can rent a dress off the runway for only around like $50. I definitely will check this website out next time I have an event to go to.

I think rent the runway is a fabulous concept!! I have not personally gotten a chance to use the service but I definitely will for upcoming formals :) I love that designers finally see what we believe...were only wearing this dress one time; to spend thousands is ridiculous. This was a great and very informative post. I didn't know about Rent The Runway, but now I do. I'm not in a sorority, but a lot of my friends are, and a lot of their events, I know, require a certain dress code which can get pricey. This is a great place for everybody though. I will defiantly have to check it out soon!

This is a great idea especially because students aren’t going to want to spend lots of money on a dress or outfit they will only wear once. Also, it is very convenient because you are able to shop online during study breaks!

Rent the runway, this sounds great. I did not know that UK has its very own rent the runway fan page, but this might be a good place to go for discount prices. I really like the pictures that are attached to this blog. If the clothes worn in the pictures are the ones sold on the website then I indeed suggest that everyone checks this page out.
Rent the runway sounds like a great idea to fit a certain market niche. I was unaware of their presence at UK but think its a great idea. I think it is nice how they send two sizes and that you can change a dress if you don't like it.

I think this is a neat concept to consider. However, I feel sometimes it is a hassle for people to worry about shipping item back in time as to avoid any late fees. I'm sure through time though that the kinks with returns will be worked out to make the return of merchandise a seamless process and this idea could really take off in the future.

I really like the idea that if the outfit doesn't fit correctly, you can send it back and receive the correct size without any extra expenses. I think that rent the runway is an awesome idea that several people are obviously taking advantage of. I think it would be okay to pay the rental fees for something like this for a wedding, or maybe even a date party..but if i'm going to pay anywhere from 75 to 200 dollars for a dress i'll probably want to keep it and wear it more than once.

It just makes it that much more convenient when you're trying to find that perfect outfit or that outfit that you know you're only going to where once. I think this is such a great idea! It really saves money renting dresses that you will probably only wear it once. I know I have like four or five formal dresses just sitting in my closet that have only been worn once to an event and if I would I have know about something like this then it would have been so much cheaper just to rent the dresses.

When Julie brought this up in MAT one day I was amazed and couldn't believe such a good offer! I'm extremely excited to try this and most definitely will. I did not know they had discounts for UK students, so I'm going to check that out. I also think this company is a great way of demonstrating how the e-tailing business is growing and I think there will be more companies popping up like Renttherunway.com.
I was never aware that such a sercive was available. Whats even more great is that they have discounts for students. There are so many occasions that require you to wear a more formal outfit that can be expensive. Great way to save money.

I think Rent the Runway is a great idea for UK students. It is expensive to always dress up for nice occasions. This provides a great alternative to always borrowing your friends clothes or trying to find something inexpensive. I think that this is a great program for especially girls in college. Considering most people in college don't have very much money, this is a great way to still wear cute stuff without spending all your money on shopping sprees. I also really like that there big into customer service because ordering sizes can be difficult, so the fact they send you and extra one really makes the ordering clothes easier just in case one doesn't work out!

I think Rent the Runway is great. I was a little unsure about it but after reading this blog and hearing people talk about it in class I would love to try it out. It's perfect for those events that you know you would only wear the outfit once. The only thing I would be worried about is sizing.
I checked out the website and its such a clever idea! If i ever need fancy dress for an event I will definitely rent a dress from this website. The dresses are so stylish and cute. Id be so nervous though that if i rented a dress Id ruin it somehow and have to pay for it.
Rent the runway is extremely cute. I love the idea of it. I always have to borrow cute clothes from my friends because I get bored with my own wardrobe, so this is an awesome idea that makes a lot of sense with college students. I know the girls in the bottom picture, the blonde is my ROOMMATE! i love the idea of Rent the Runway and how you can wear a designer dress and keep it for 4 days. This could be idea for almost and special occasion and its fun to wear designer anytime. I know the girls were really excited to get the dresses and both said they wouls do it again.

I think the idea for rent the runway is awesome! I have not used it yet, but I am very excited to! I think these dresses will be great for parties and Keeneland. I am very impressed that they send you two sizes, just incase one doesn't fit.
This is a great concept; I would have loved to have access to this during high school. I bought so many pricey dresses that I only wore once- this would have been so convenient. I think it similarly could be useful for Greek formals, allowing girls to rent a more desired designer dress for a price better than a dress you would buy in the store! It allows you to wear the designer dresses you have always dreamt of wearing!
I have heard of many people using Rent the Runway. And all of them have had a great experiance with it! I personally havent tried it, but I think its a great idea and a great way to save money!!
