UK Women Fashion Trends!

UGG Boots, Crocs, Sperry’s; Trends are constantly changing year-to-year and even month-to-month. This crazy Kentucky weather makes being a trendy girl a very difficult task. In the warmer months when you take a look around campus you can expect to see girls sporting their Ray-Ban sunglasses, flip-flops, and flashy headbands. Moving into the fall with all the rainy weather you will defiantly see a wide variety of colorful rain boots and matching umbrellas. Fall is also the time to beak out the North Face jackets. Once November has arrived campus becomes overwhelmed with UGG boots. One trend that seems to go along perfectly with UGG boots, are those coats with fur hoods and linings. A girl has to not only be warm but cute!

The purse or bag that a girl carries says a lot about her. Whether you are a fashion savvy girl carrying a designer bag, a sorority sister supporting her letters, or an average student who just needs something to put her books in, a girls bag tells a story about her. One trend that seems to stand out regardless of whether you’re an athlete, sorority sister, or just an average student is Vera Bradley bags.
With so many different designs and patterns every girl can seem to find a style of her own.

Even though what type of flip-flops a girl is wearing or what kind of backpack she has is such a simple thing, it is still something girls think about and notice on our campus. Fashion is one thing that can both bring girls together and completely separate them. Fashion is constantly changing and whether we are athletes, sorority sisters, or normal students we all want to have the newest hottest trends out there!

I really like how you covered a lot of different trends in this article. One of my favorite things about campus is seeing how everyone makes trends their own. This article mentioned how bags really show a girl's personality and I think that is a great point. You can tell a lot about someone by noticing their bag or even what shoes they are wearing. I'm glad you mentioned that girls do notice what kind of accessories someone is wearing because I know I notice it all the time. One point you could have really enforced is how these accessories make great conversation pieces. The first few weeks of school can be a little awkward and making a comment about a cute pair of shoes or a cute Vera Bradley bag can always break the ice. -- Holly Sackett

I agree completely about how hard it is to look cute and be warm! I dread the winter months here because of that very thing. I generally sacrifice the style and go for warmth but it would be nice to have both. I also liked the part about how the purse says a lot about a person. I can definitely see that when me and my friends go shopping together and each pick out different things that represent our different personalities. It was a good article and interesting to read!

This blog is the perfect explanation of how campus is throughout the seasons. I found myself laughing because I have all the same shoes and bags they talk about throughout this article. Its so true how every girl sports their sperry's on a sunny day or break out their rainboots with matching socks that go with them. This was a good read, and also a great source of info for someone who wanted to go along with some of these trends!

I defintely agree with everything this blog says! Especially with Kentucky weather styles change almost everyday. I know I have gone one day this year in shorts and flip flops, then the next had to wear jeans and rain boots! In this blog it did a very good job at describing exactly what most girls wear around campus! I also agree with what they were saying about the bags! I believe the bag you carry describes who you are like the blog said whether you are a sorority girl or into designer bags! So overall this blog did a very good job at describing the trends of the girls and how it is changing with the seasons!

This article really does sum up the fashion life of girls on campus! As a freshmen, it is an adjustment trying to see how everyone dresses on a day-to-day basis in classes. Being able to wear leggings and a top while the person next to you is cozy in their NorthFace and shorts is what UK is all about and it is a huge relief to not wake up and worry what to wear. The bags are probably the biggest trend I have noticed, because you see so many people with their sorority letters all the time. My favorite is the end, where the writers state that fashion can bring you together or separate you totally. Such a true statement for the girls on campus!
