Keeneland Fall Trends

When you here the trumpets you know it is Keeneland time in the Bluegrass, which means it’s time to dress to impress and bet on the horses and sisters Mackenzie and Page where ready. Both girls sported very cute and classy mid-waisted skirts as predicted in the blog post Preview of Fall Keeneland Trends. These girls traded in there stilettos for low heal, wide calf boots to keep them a little warmer in the typical fall weather. Mackenzie chose to play up her black colored tee with gold chained necklaces which really gave her outfit the pop that brought it all together. Page played up her outfit by adding a cardigan embellished with gold beads that really helped pull your eye up from plaid skirt. When we told Mackenzie and Page that they where wearing some of the trends predicted for the fall meet they both shook their heads laughing “How typical of us,” it was obvious they really knew how to bring an outfit together, and dress to impress.

All three of these boys are definitely dressed to impress.  Nash and Harrison are rocking their sport coats with bow ties, while Tanner is dressed in the classic khaki and button up.  Over the last few years the bow tie has been popping in and out of formal events, and this year it has finally decided to stick around.  Walking around Keenland, I saw many college boys who chose to switch from neck tie to bow tie. While Nash and Harrison chose to go all out for Keenland, instead of a tie, Tanner added the backwards baseball cap to keep it casual.  Whether they are formal or casual the guys at Keenland are always looking good!

Husband and wife Terry and Jane where quite the eye catchers at the Keeneland fall meet. They weren't wearing your typical day out at the tracks wear, but they where rocking there outfits. Why so much pink? It was for breast cancer awareness month, and both Terry and Jane where both obviously proud to support it.

Keeneland is always fun to go to! Im not a huge fan on the actual racing but its good to go a socialize and look at what people are wearing. I also like how you don't have to always dress up to the max. There are tons of people who wear jeans and t-shirts.

Keeneland not only is fun, but allows you to dress up in something fashionable.! I went to Keeneland recently and loved it. I plan on going more. I like going and looking at everyone's outfits. Like the bottom picture, you will always see something unique!

I think the biggest trend of keenland this year is bow ties. I went to keenland with some friends from out of town. I was with 8 guys, all rockin bow ties. and i also think that the dresses and boots are a huge trend this year. Our classy dresses with the comfortable boots were really in style i noticed. Its also been a big thing for soroities to wear pink and support national breast cancer month, so im glad to see that older people are showing their support as well! I love their outfits! they were so bold and brave!

I agree to Emily, boots are such a huge trend this season at Keeneland. This past weekend, most of the girls at Keeneland had some sort of boots in various styles (cowboys, heels, casual) and cute, casual dresses. I think it is a good combo. It keeps you warm while still able to wear a shorter dress.

That married couple is hilarious, their outfits are too funny. I've never been to Keeneland but would love to go just to see the fashions. The outfits look adorable and so chic. I love seeing the boot trend because they are so dressed down but with a skirt or dress they can be dressy too.

I absolutely love when the boys wear bow ties to Keeneland!! I think it adds even more class to the event and they look so preppy :) haha I love that in the fall trends for girls we saw some plaid and cute crop "Chanel" style coats; again very preppy and classy. As far as Terry and Jane go; I adoreeeee their brave outfits supporting breast cancer awareness month...well done you two :)

Although I have never been to Keeneland, I am looking forward to going soon! Its always fun to see what people wear to this type of event. I do think that boots are especially in for this fall season for the girls fashion.

I haven't attended Keenland yet, and I'm jealous. The last part of this blog though is absolutely halarious! The couple are TOO cute and I love how they dressed to impress. Hopefully I'll make it to Keenland sometime or another throughout my UK experience, and until then I have this great blog to read.

I went to Keeneland this past weekend and two trends definitly stuck out: bow ties on the guys, and dresses with boots for the girls. I think this is a change in what I remember seeing last year, I think the girls were dressed much more casually compared to last year when it seemed everyone was wearing high heels. Getting to see what people are wearing is my favorite part of going to Keeneland every year!

These pictures perfectly illustrate what you see at Keeneland! The last one is absolutely hilarious! I have only been once since Keenaland has been in session but it's always so interesting to see what everyone is dressed in for the occaision. This weather we have had lately couldn't be better for Keeneland in the fall!

I have never been to keneland, but I plan to in the future. People seem so comfortable wearing their attire, whether casual or stylistic. I really like how in the last picture of Terry and Jane they decided to wear pink. It shows that you can dress up but at the same time support for a good cause.

Drew said...

I think the variety in Keeneland attire is what makes it so great. I really like the bow ties. It's something different from a neck tie and looks good. I'm sure the boots for girls are very useful in the cold fall weather and still look great.

I went to Keenland for the first time ever last saturday and i had so much fun! the Keenland trends were so fun to look out! You had the people who went all out and the people just in sundresses! It is a great place to people watch!

This post did a great job describing the outfits put together by the young men and women at Keeneland. I have been fortunate enough to go each week of the meet this year and I anticipate going Saturday for closing day. It does get tougher to dress up for a girl if you don't have some nice boots because wearing heels can hurt your feet all day tailgating and walking around at the track. I do like how most people at Keeneland keep it a classy event and dress to impress.

My favorite part about Keeneland is getting dressed up, and of course seeing what everyone else is wearing. You were 100% on track with all of the trends you talked about. I also really like how you highlighted adult trends too! Awesome job!

I love Keeneland and being able to show off my unique style. The trends aren't largely diverse from usual because mostly classic people attend. It is very wonderful to observe who likes to think out of the box and stand out, though!

The predicted Keeneland trends and the ones from this article I believe are dead on. I saw many girls wearing both heels and boots with skirts and dresses. I myself wore a dress and boots all three times I have attended Keeneland this fall. I also love that you all got a picture of the couple in pink! How cute!

Terry is the man for rocking that all pink suit. It certainly is an eye catcher and I'm sure they received a lot of attention on this day. It's always interesting to see what people will bring out of their closets to sport at Keeneland and props to him for supporting breast cancer awareness.

I absolutely love attending Keeneland every semester and not only for the racing but also for the opportunity tp hang with friends and "dress to impress." You guys did an awesome job at really capturing the trends that every one can expect to see at Keeneland. I especially like the older couple and their support of breast cancer awareness.

I love the look of the white and black tweed skirt! I think the colors are sophisticated and excellent for Keeneland's atmosphere. I agree with the idea of wearing a lower heeled show; there is nothing worse than walking around keeneland in high heels- it is torture! I also love how you added pictures of other attendees. Student outfits are somewhat predictable, but as for the adults, anything is open!

I love dressing for Keeneland in the fall. I definitely agree that this fall's trends include high wasted skirts, dressy shirts, and black or brown leather boots. I just purchased brown leather boots and I've already worn them a ton. They keep you warmer as the weather gets colder, but yet they are just as fashionable as any high heel.

In my first two months here at UK, I have not been to Keeneland. I really like to dress up, so I think this would be a really fun even to get dressed up for and check out. I love when boys wear bow ties! It's so adorable, and classy at the same time. Also, in my four years here I definitely want to get a hat just like that lady's.

I love Keenland. I think it really is what Lexington is all about, when you're in the horse capital you have to attend at least one race. On beautiful weekends many people choose to venture out to Keenland. Although the traffic from game day is horrible. At Keenland its all about getting in the spirit and being the timeless kind of classy that the tradition of horse racing brings. A must have accessory for fall is the madrid style boots.

If you don't make it to keeneland in the fall, spring is just around the corner. I love Keeneland being in two different seasons because it allows you to come up with outfits and rock different trends. The couple wearing pink for breast cancer awareness, took there outfits to a whole other level by dressing for a cause.

Keeneland is definitely the time of year around Lexington when people start dressing with a little more class. The outfits presented in this blog represent this perfectly. It's nice to see some people aren't afraid to support a cause, either! I loved that the writers added that photo at the end, I think it adds a nice element to their post, and the general feel of Keeneland.

Going to Keeneland is one of the reasons why I love Lexington so much. It is the perfect social event and sometimes I am even lucky enough to win some money! The pictures were a good example of what people wear to Keeneland and like the older couple, there are always people dressed in some pretty crazy outfits.

I think that Keeneland is one of the best places to show off classic style. I have been lucky enough to attend the races four different times during this Fall meet. I have realized that not much changes in the men's attire while the women's tends to have more variation. Boots have become a very fun, cute, and diverse way to accessorize. I LOVE boots and have seen some of the cutest boots paired with dresses at Keeneland.

I absolutely love getting dressed up and going to Keeneland! I have only gotten the chance to go once this season, but it was a great time. It is always interesting to go and see what everyone is wearing; outfits vary so much. Another popular trend I noticed while being at Keeneland was girls wearing dresses with cowgirl or slouchy boots, which is one of my personal favorites. Guys always seem to wear something similar; khaki pants and a button up with either a bow tie or tie. I don't think that is ever out of style.

I love Keeneland and horse racing!! It's so much fun to spend the day out there with friends and family. It gives you a chance to dress up and wear something new and look your best. I love how the couple dressed very different and for such a special cause of breast cancer! This year, boots with dresses and skirts was much more common and looked very cute together.

I absolutely LOVE the older couple in their pink outfits they are just too cute! The guys are looking very dapper in their button ups and bow ties, and the two lovely sisters look fabulous and like they popped right out of a fashion catalogue. I love this time of year and Keeneland is one of the reasons why!

I have never been to keeneland before until i went on saturday! It was my first time and i definately saw all the girls dressed up in the styles that you guys said! I saw the boots with dresses, and the boys in blazers and ties. I also saw alot of grown ups wearing nice outfits but nothing compared to the couple dressed in pink! Keeneland was alot of fun when i went and i loved dressing up and seeing all the different styles there. I definately want to go again soon!

Boot with dresses and skirts is a very popular trend that I have seen around campus and especially around Keeneland. These looks definitely fit the weather and are really fashionable. For the boys, bow ties and button downs are a major trend. Blazers, ties and sports coats are also another trend for guys.

Everyone looks great in these photos. The couple dressed in pink definitely stands out, but everyone else looks very chic as well. Bow ties and boots will be very popular during the fall meet just like seersucker and summer dresses were during the spring. Hopefully everyone had a lucky day at the track!

I love that you included the couple dressing in pink for Breast Cancer Awareness month. I am noticing more and more that boots are everywhere this fall! Along with the boots, I cant help but to notice the bow ties. I find it interesting that bow ties are making a come back but it will be interesting to see if it sticks around.

I think it’s really interesting to see the fall skirts and tops for Keenland because they are just a slight adjustment of what was predicted earlier in the blog. These outfits are better suited for the colder weather we’ve been seeing lately. I must say, I am a huge fan of the bow tie trend! I love that guys are finally starting to veer away from the classic button down and tie look and are beginning to change things up with a playful yet still classic bow tie

I love seeing what everyone is wearing each season for Keenland. The outfits the girls were wearing in that picture were so cute, and they easily pull it off, whether it just be simple black and white, or adding a pop of color as bright as pink. The outfits looked great. I love that the guys wear bowties because it is a change from the normal dresst ie that they all wear. The horse track isn't the horse track without the crazy hats! The couple at the bottom really show what dressing for the race track is all about, and I love how it's in support of breast cancer!

I love the couple dressed up in pink, it shows that everyone, not just college students dress up for Keeneland. I also love the girls skirts and how it talks about how they made their outfits work for Keeneland. The guys lookm great and typical for every guy seen there. This was a good blog and the pictures were very good.

I have not yet been to Keeneland, but when I do go I definitely will look the part. I think that the outfit is one of the best parts about going to Keeneland. The girls and guys that the blog showed both looked very classy and cute. The pink couple was too funny. I am sure they caused quite the buzz for the breast cancer awareness which is exactly what they were going for.

I love Keeneland! Although every time I go I lose money, it's still fun to go dress up and socialize with friends and meet new people. It does seem that skirts and bow ties are in style this year. I can't wait until next time I can go again.

The outfits shown in the pictures are very appropriate dress choices for the Keeneland races. I love the skirts with the boots, especially because they are an alternative to uncomfortable stilettos! The bowties are becoming more popular for the guys. I love the picture of the old couple, that is so funny :)

I think the outfits shown in the pictures are a perfect representation of this years Keeneland fashion. The boots that the girls are wearing are very popular this year. I think its a comfortable yet trendy thing this season, and I love boots so I'm glad that they're becoming so popular. I love the bowties that the guys are wearing - adds a little flare as opposed to the normal tie. And, the older couple is so funny that was a good addition.
